Fried Bengal gram powder ( sanagapopu podi)

Hai thanks for liking, commenting n following my blog. This powder can be use in some curries, fries, to sprinkle on dosa, in idly with ghee. Its easy to prepare n can store for 2 months in air tight container.

Preparation time : 10 mins

Ingredients :

  • Fried Bengal gram         : 1 cup
  • Red chillies                     : 6-8
  • Garlic pod's                     : 4-5
  • Cumin seeds (jeera)      : 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves                    : 4-5
  • Ghee                                 : 1 drop
  • Jaggery                            : 1/2 spoon
  • Salt to taste

Method :

Place all ingredients in a mixer jar.
Grind into fine powder.
Store in air tight container.

Note :
We r adding ghee n jagerry to get colour n texture to the powder.

         This is long process n from this laddu we can learn two dishes. That is bundhi n laddu. Bundhi is same process which we do it first to prepare this laddu slight difference is we have to add chilly powder to spicy bundhi.

     Now a days kids favorite are smoothies. And in this summer these drinks will be good for not only children but for everyone.
