Egg bhurji ( Gudlu Portu)

Hai all thanks for liking , following, n commenting on my blog. This is easiest dish n liked by most of the people. This will be good for every combination. For rice, roti, bread n even we can eat like that. Simple ingredients like onions n green chilli n egg used n result will be mouth watering egg bhurji.

Preparation time : 5 mins
cooking time        : 8 mins
total time              : 13 mins.

Ingredients  :
  • Eggs                                : 4
  • medium size onion     : 1
  • green chillies                : 1
  • red chilli powder         : 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste

For tampering :
  • Oil                                  : 2 tsps
  • urad dal                        : 1/2 tsp
  • mustard seeds             : 1/4 tsp
  • cumin seeds                 : 1/4 tsp
  • curry leaves                 : 4-5

Method :
  • Heat a PAN n add oil. Add all tampering items  n stir.
  • When they start spluttering keep in medium flame n add onions, green chillies.
  • Add turmeric n little salt n stir till the onions turn transparent.
  • keep in low flame break the eggs n add to onions.
  • Keep flame medium n stir but see that egg mixture doe not break into small pieces.
  • when egg bhurji cooked 3/4 add red chilli powder n salt.
  • when it bhurji start leaving oil remove from flame.
  • Egg bhurji ready to serve.

note :
see onions should not turn brown. They should be light pink colour when become transparent. Egg bhurji should be medium pieces so be careful when stirring.

This is famous in Andhra Pradesh. It came from a place called Bandhar now called Machlipatanam.

          So this thokudu laddu is also called as Bandhar laddu. Who ever goes to that place they will definitely taste this laddu. Slowly it spread to whole state. It won’t be strange if we say it spread to whole world.

         This is long process n from this laddu we can learn two dishes. That is bundhi n laddu. Bundhi is same process which we do it first to prepare this laddu slight difference is we have to add chilly powder to spicy bundhi.

Total time                  : 1 hr 35 mins

     Now a days kids favorite are smoothies. And in this summer these drinks will be good for not only children but for everyone.

     This is easy n simple recipe which we can prepare it in 5 to 10 mins.
